Geraldine is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and Harvard. At Mount Holyoke, Geraldine majored in Sociology and minored in the Chinese language. While there, she also studied at Beijing Language and Culture University (北京语言大学) where she earned a Certificate in intermediate Chinese Language. At Harvard, Geraldine earned a Master's Degree in Education Policy and Management with a concentration in college admissions. Her research focused on the history of American colleges and how Ivy League and other selective colleges make admissions decisions in the United States. While in graduate school, Geraldine had the honor of studying under the tutelage of College administrators and admissions staff from some of the most selective colleges in the United States.
Prior to joining Princeton College Consulting, Geraldine spent eight years in the classroom, in government, and at nonprofits, preparing some of New York City's brightest students for admissions to competitive colleges. She has worked with students as they determine who they are, what their narrative is, and how to best present this to colleges. Through meetings and a comprehensive writing process, Geraldine finds students' strengths and works to highlight this in their applications. Having benefited from college counseling and mentoring herself, Geraldine's approach to counseling is rooted in mentorship and partnership: she follows students on their journey as they figure out who they are and helps them find the words that best describe that journey. Geraldine also welcomes candid conversations on how to pursue merit aid and guides parents and students in the negotiation of this aid. She has worked with students from some of the country's top magnet and private schools, from New York to San Francisco, and uses her expertise in strategy to maximize outcomes for students surrounded by competition.
Until 2019, Geraldine served as an alumni interviewer for Mount Holyoke College. She remains an Alumni Admissions Ambassador at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a mentor for undergraduates at the College. In her spare time, Geraldine enjoys yoga and meeting up with friends for a strong cup of coffee.

I primarily wanted help with my college essays, but my PCC counselor did more than that. He strengthened my entire application to become very presentable before any college admissions committee. He worked with me around the clock, and made himself available whenever I needed him. If I was not a PCC client, I would not be attending one of my top-choice colleges in the Fall and my essays and application would be sub-par. All in all, I highly recommend Princeton College Consulting because working with them will indefinitely increase your odds at attending your dream school.

It is hard to believe that I have been working with Princeton College Consulting for 3 years. I cannot thank you enough for all of the help you offered. To say I couldn’t have done it without you is certainly an understatement.
You always worked tirelessly to ensure that I was presenting the best version of myself across all facets of the application process. The essays you helped me write, the detailed in-depth interview responses you helped me formulate, and the college list you helped me put together would not have been so personal and specific to me if it weren’t for your guidance and expertise.
I have more to thank you for, though, than just being exceptionally good at your job. You connected with me and made me learn things about myself that I never would have known. You pushed me to be my best and you believed that I would achieve my goal as long as I put in the work. It meant a lot to hear from someone other than my parents that I would become a doctor one day.
I wouldn’t have the opportunity of a BSMD program without you. I’m beyond excited to start and I will of course keep you updated. Good luck with working with Michelle, though. She’s a much less cool version of myself.
Thanks you for everything,

Thank you so much for all you have done over the past three years. Your guidance and patience helped transform me and my family from clueless and concerned to confident, college ready individuals – and for that I could not be more grateful. I truly appreciate all the time and effort that you put into reading essays and resumes, talking me through the process, and just helping me feel comfortable hitting the “submit” button. I know I wasn’t always the best client and that at times I needed to be helped back on track, which you always accomplished, not by yelling but rather, by encouraging and motivating me. It was always a pleasure being able to talk with you and navigate the vast college landscape. Through minor digressions and sidebars I feel that I gained a true mentor and I couldn’t be more thankful. I’ll be sure to keep in touch next year and update you on NYU Stern and all the crazy things that will inevitably happen in the city.
Thank you for helping to make my dreams come true and preparing me for the next chapter in life.

We wanted to hire a college admissions counselor because his high school guidance counselor had told him that applying to colleges was a complicated and daunting task. Additionally, school guidance counselors are excellent, but they really do not have too much time for each student. I had worked with other college consulting services before, and they either cared more about making a profit or had a superficial understanding of the application process. Princeton College Consulting has a proven track record of helping clients get into their dream schools, so I felt more confident about selecting its services. Ever since the first meeting, I have not regretted my decision.
Working with Princeton College Consulting has exceeded my expectations not only because of the amount of help they have given to my son to navigate the college admissions process, but also because they have nurtured my son's professionalism and maturity. My son spent countless hours with Princeton counselors brainstorming, proofreading, and reading essays, as well as doing interview preparation and fulfilling various college application requirements. Princeton College Consulting helped guide my son through the application process while allowing him to do his own work. As a result, I believe that my son has not only learned much about the college admissions process, but also about how to build a successful future in college and beyond. Additionally, my son was accepted into almost every school he applied to including his top choices. I can state with conviction that my son would not have gotten into his dream school without the excellent advice and guidance of Princeton College Consulting. In short, Princeton College Consulting’s services are second to none!
