Admissions Counselor
Sasha Higgins was born in Hong Kong to English parents, was accepted to the University of Michigan on an academic scholarship, and graduated summa cum laude with a double major in Creative Writing and French. While at Michigan, she was awarded the prestigious Hopwood Award for her writing and contributed as a writer for The Michigan Daily.
Sasha has worked with college and graduate school applicants for the past 12 years, helping high school and college students develop their writing skills and craft compelling application portfolios. She specializes in guiding students to find their voice on the page, finding a way to write that is not only authentic but also creative, intellectually curious, and compelling. Her approach emphasizes both the explorative process of writing and the skills needed to produce strong arguments and persuasive narratives.
Sasha has successfully worked with students applying to top universities in the United States and the United Kingdom, including Ivy League schools as well as Oxford and Cambridge. Beyond undergraduate admissions, she has also supported students in gaining admission to PhD, PsyD, MD, and MBA programs. With her guidance, students learn how to write with clarity and confidence, building essays that showcase their unique strengths and stand out to admissions committees.
Sasha currently lives in Malibu, California with her husband Ethan and two rescue dogs, Melvin and Mordechai
